Once again we recently had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding at Caerphilly Castle, South Wales.
I could comfortably say we are starting to feel quite at home there.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the building has an incredible amount of texture, and really does make for stunning photographs.
For this wedding I decided to try some more wide-angle images using the Nikon 24-70 lens. I often go for the 70-200mm lens, but wanted to add a bit of variety to the portfolio.
With a venue such as Caerphilly Castle, it has some incredible features that go from floor to ceiling, so capturing some amazing wide angle shots wasn't difficult in this place.
The shields that are displayed on the wall, the uplighting the the arches of the window in the Great Hall of Caerphilly Castle, the textures of the brickwork - it all adds to the wonderful atmosphere that this venue offers.
Kerry opted for a very fitting navy blue colour theme for her wedding day. They also had a karaoke band playing in the evening where guests could come up and sing their favourite songs while the band members gave some backing music. It really was superb and nothing like I had ever seen before.
To say I thoroughly enjoyed this wedding would be something of an understatement!
