Autumn was creeping in when I met with this lovely couple to do their engagement shoot at Miskin Manor, which is also the place they're getting married.
Surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside, Miskin Manor is the perfect location to have a beautiful wedding in South Wales.
The foliage offers the perfect backdrop whether it be a summer, winter, spring or autumn wedding, ensuring you'll get great outdoor wedding photographs every time.
The day had become quite cloudy, but there were many spots to make some wonderful engagement photographs.
Little pockets of light lit the couple up making the scene look heavenly.
Something I think I excel in is making my clients feel at ease in front of the camera.
On your wedding day, there is so much going on, and you're caught up in the action and the emotion of the day, but during an engagement session you haven't got the same level of activity going on, and being in front of the camera, and feeling like you're expected to 'behave' in a certain way can feel quite unnatural and awkward.
I am not the kind of person who will 'pose' their clients. I want you to look back on your engagement session and feel like you recognise the people in the picture, which you won't if you're made to do something that isn't how you'd normally act.
Instead, using the latest equipment and the most advanced in camera technology, I look for the best part of the location we're at and let you be yourselves and give you some breathing space using a lens which allows me to get out of peoples personal space, whilst still capturing the most amazing photographs.
