Celtic Manor Wedding Photography

For South Wales wedding photographers, there aren't many venues that carry the prestige that the Celtic Manor resort has. After all, who wouldn't want to tie the knot at the the place that has held international summits and major golf tournaments?

What I really like about this place is the sheer size of it, and the fact that I know that I could photograph a hundred weddings here, and none of them would ever look the same. The wedding pictured here was held at the 2010 Clubhouse, which is one of many options available.

We had just returned from the ceremony from a nearby church in Newport, and at this point in the day we had already captured some really lovely images, especially after the ceremony which I always identify as an emotional hot-spot. We had planned to call into the main foyer of the hotel to get a picture in front of the very large Christmas tree, which was a picture that was requested by the couple. This particular picture was taken during the journey from the main foyer to the 2010.

We stopped by the side of the internal road, and took quite a few shots of this scene. Some had the main hotel in the background which were ok, but my style isn't really akin to simply putting the couple in front of insert object here. I actually find this style very boring, but I digress. I want to capture some emotion and gesture between my couple, and I achieve this by first of all zooming right in on them. This does a few thing. It eliminates distracting elements in the background, and with the magic of optical physics, what is left of the background is blown out of focus. Your eye has no choice but to look at the couple. I then put them in a situation where that interact naturally, and everything you see is then genuine.

If you would like me to photograph your wedding in a manner that captures emotion rather than just putting you in front of things I would love to hear from you. For this type of photography, we are one of the best in Wales.
